QUEZON CITY, PHILIPPINES – Webcast Technologies, Inc. (WTI) received an Honorable Mention at the Trainocate & Google Cloud Agent Build Challenge for Asia-Pacific Partners. The entry placed among 79 submissions from partners across the APAC region.
The competition drew 117 registered partners and focused on building working AI agents using Google Cloud’s Agent Development Kits (ADKs). WTI was recognized for its logistics route optimization agent, the TMS Dispatcher, a back-end AI solution designed to support fleet management and automate dispatch workflows for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
The solution addresses a common issue in the Philippine logistics sector: the manual sales-to-dispatch process. Internal project data shows that around 85% of local logistics SMEs still rely on manual dispatching. This process often takes four to eight hours daily and limits operational growth.
Designed as part of a broader fleet management software ecosystem, TMS Dispatcher uses Google Gemini and the Google Maps Platform to automate the dispatch lifecycle at the system level. It applies a multi-agent workflow for planning, real-time tracking, and performance analysis, without a user interface component. The system supports GPS fleet tracking and vehicle tracking solutions through automated back-end processes, helping improve fleet visibility and operational accuracy.
The judging panel cited the project as a “powerful industry use case” with clear business value. The review noted the team’s multi-agent design, which combined Google Maps, weather data, Google Search, and Gmail into a single workflow.
The project was developed by the WTI AI Team led by Vonlie Suyom, WTI’s Sr. Manager for AI and Analytics, with team members Ana Soriano (Manager for Product Management), Jan Daniel Gonzalvo (Sr. Data Analyst), Marbrick Austria (Jr. Data Analyst), and Geraldine Uganiza (Jr. Data Analyst).
Development occurred under strict time constraints during the hackathon. Team member Geraldine Uganiza noted the technical challenges involved in adopting new frameworks.
“Building the multi-agent workflow under tight deadlines was the toughest part,” Uganiza stated. “We started the hackathon with zero knowledge of agent ADKs, so we had to learn the framework from scratch. Clutching the project and seeing the full workflow run end-to-end turned our idea into a fully working solution.”
Marbrick Austria, another key member of the development team, described the event as a pivotal learning experience.
“The hackathon served as an excellent stepping stone for learning the technology,” Austria said. “Participating with little to no prior knowledge while navigating a tight schedule was a challenge, but it provided knowledge that will be vital in future initiatives to improve the company’s services.”
The project reflected the team’s approach to problem solving, their ability to adopt new tools, and their experience building back-end systems relevant to GPS and fleet tracking solutions, in line with WTI’s guiding principle, “Winning Through Innovation.”
The Honorable Mention places WTI among the recognized APAC partners for this cycle of the Trainocate & Google Cloud Agent Build Challenge.
